Getting Started With The Fit Vibe
About Me
Hi and welcome to The Fit Vibe.
I’m Kristina McManama, and for as long as I can remember, movement has been part of who I am. I started playing soccer at four and was traveling the country by twelve, competing on Olympic Development teams and earning college recruitment offers. I accepted two scholarships, but decided instead to head south and begin a new chapter in the Carolinas.
I planned to try out as a walk-on for the UNC Charlotte women’s team. But after years of high-pressure competition, I realized I wanted something different. I wanted to move for me—not for performance, not for a scoreboard, just for the way it made me feel.
That wasn’t an easy shift. My sophomore year, after nearly a year without consistent fitness, I found myself back in my apartment gym, feeling out of shape and unsure where to begin. I wasn’t proud of where I was physically, and honestly, I didn’t know what I was doing. But I kept showing up.
Eventually, I joined my college fitness center and started learning. Over the next few years, I found my way into strength training, HIIT, cross-training, and group fitness. I discovered what it felt like to move without pressure—and for the first time, I started to understand the emotional side of fitness. The energy it gives you. The clarity. The confidence.
That’s the vibe. It’s not just about what you do—it’s how it makes you feel. It’s the shift in energy when you’re consistent, supported, and starting to trust your own strength again.
Today, I’m a certified personal trainer through ISSA, with more than eight years of experience working with women across all stages of their fitness journey. And I still get excited to train every day. Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s mine—and now, it’s something I get to share.
I created The Fit Vibe to help you build something that feels the same way. Supportive. Sustainable. And yours.
I'm so glad you're here.
